Call for Papers Journal of Contemporary Urban Affairs – Volume 9, Issue 2 (December 2025)

The Journal of Contemporary Urban Affairs calls for original manuscripts for Volume 9, Issue 2 (to be published 31/12/2025). Guided by our aim to interrogate the socio-economic forces that shape contemporary cities and to foster inclusive, resilient, and sustainable urban futures, we welcome robust empirical, theoretical, or mixed-method studies that examine citizenship rights and responsibilities (e.g., inequality, affordable housing, civic participation), territorial dynamics (e.g., migration, land markets, heritage preservation), and wider urban transformations (e.g., governance, regeneration, smart-city innovation). Comparative perspectives and interdisciplinary approaches that bridge regional, methodological, or disciplinary divides are particularly encouraged.
